Me & ANET go back a long long way. I still remember the first time I landed in Andamans in Jan 2000 to pursue my research work on snakes of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. All the while from the airport to the ANET base at Wandoor, I was filled with excitement and loads of apprehensions about the place, people & whether i would be able to do any qualitative research, considering my modest scientific knowledge.
And then i reached ANET.....what a place to be! Been so often in the wilderness but this place was absolutely beautiful! I was in awe of this place! And when I was introduced to Manish Chandi & the rest of ANET staff, .... my heart was filled with confidence. All were so friendly, warm & helpful that I knew there & then itself, I was in the right place for my work!
After that time, I've visited ANET on numerous occasions & each time I've noticed a few changes, but all for the better! I've seen this place grow more beautiful each time & such is the allure that I wish I could be here for ever! There's a saying....some things dont change, so is the case with ANET....It still happens to be that beautiful place with the most wonderful people I have ever come across!
